Argyll and Bute Council has welcomed changes which will make it easier for people to make alterations to their homes without having to apply for planning permission.
The rules which came into force on Monday 6 February were introduced by the Scottish Government. They are designed to make it easier for people to make alterations to their homes and reduce the number of planning applications received by councils.
